Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique blend. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as during the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in church. Her music career started in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. She became the primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls the stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2008 inauguration.
